Pensacola Fishing Charters-Speckled Trout and Redfish. The months of May and June provide beautiful mornings, excellent water temperatures and an abundance of very aggressive redfish, speckled trout and flounder. Topwater baits, hard sub-surface baits and Berkley Gulp! will produce large numbers of all species for our early Summer anglers. Catch and release sport is encouraged but for anglers in search of excellent fish to eat, full coolers are easy to come by. The beaches and shallow flats near Pensacola Pass are still providing incredible sight fishing opportunities for bull redfish and some pompano. Pensacola Speckled Trout and Redfish The speckled trout, redfish, bull redfish and Spanish mackerel fishing in Pensacola has been outstanding. Redfish University anglers can expect 25-40 speckled trout per morning and 10-15 redfish in the 18-30″ range. For anglers looking for large redfish, the beach and shallow flats near the Gulf are holding good numbers of 10-20# bull redfish that can be taken on artificial baits and fly.
