Redfish University offers its thoughts and prayers to the families of lost loved-ones in the disaster, our friends, guides, commercial fisherman, recreational anglers and wildlife in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. The recent BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico may have a devastating impact on the entire Gulf Coast, especially its fisheries and the economy surrounding these fisheries. Redfish University pledges its full support to our friends to the west in hopes of a swift cleanup and recovery. Redfish University will donate 5% of its weekly earnings, or approximately $50-$100 per week, to assist in cleanup and recovery efforts. Also, Redfish University will offer its services and boats to assist in any local oil cleanup if the need arises. Because the impact on Florida waters is not yet know, Redfish University will continue normal guiding operations from Pensacola, FL. to Panama City FL. and all destinations in between. We have contacted many booked clients and have updated them on current events. Since Redfish University covers the entire Gulf Coast of Florida, guiding locations can easily be moved east in the event of oil reaching our area. Destinations like Destin, Santa Rosa Beach and Panama City are very familiar and regularly guided areas at Redfish University.
